Stair Nosing

(Also referred to as Bull-nose) The rounded front or outside edge of the step/stair tread which generally protrudes out over the vertical riser.

The nosing or nose is the front part of the step that protrudes out over the riser.

A nosing can also be located on a floor above the staircase or on the front of a landing.
