In 2007, Capel Rugs celebrated its 90th anniversary and is the oldest and largest privately-owned rug manufacturer and importer in the United States. In 1936 Capel purchased the first of two yarn spinning mills and still does its own dyeing, spinning, braiding and sewing in its Troy, North Carolina factories. The local company has stood the test of time, due in large part to four generations of commitment and care. They offer a wide variety of roll runners and area rugs in available in extensive sizes including custom pieces. In 1963 Capel began offering imported collections and today Capel’s import program thrives with a network of manufacturers across the globe.
